Job Summary:
- Come join our team! We currently have an exciting opportunity in Westminster, MD for a Mechanical Inspector with experience with precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers.
Job Description:
- Performs repetitive and routine inspections, checks, tests and sampling procedures of standard parts, units, equipment, or materials.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment and ensure the compliance with company's rules and policies.
- Must be able to comply with quality, product safety, and HSE rules, guidelines, and regulations.
- Must understand and comply with applicable standards. (i.e.: ISO 9001, ISO 22163, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, AAR, and CMMI).
- Maintain and safeguard business records.
Required:
- Good reasoning skills are required as well as knowledge of documentation and specifications.
- Assist with or conduct process audits, customer PSI (Source Inspections), First Article Inspections (FAI).
- This position requires the ability to verify and document activities both on paper form as well as utilizing computer software such as Word, Excel, Windchill, and SAP.
- Proper selection and use of precision measuring tools and equipment is required - such as micrometers, calipers, etc.
- Determines whether product is acceptable or rejected, initiates rejection notices (NCRs), and maintains accurate written records of the inspections performed, including the results.
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED.
