Our client is currently seeking a Flexera One Administrator
Title: Flexera One Administrator
Location: Austin, TX, Hybrid - 3 days/week
Duration: 12-month contract with possibility of extension
About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Flexera One Administrator to join our IT Asset Management team. In this role, you will be responsible for administering, configuring, and optimizing the Flexera One platform to manage a hybrid IT estate-including hardware, software, SaaS, and cloud assets. Your work will directly support compliance, cost optimization, risk reduction, and strategic IT decision-making across the organization.

About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Flexera One Administrator to join our IT Asset Management team. In this role, you will be responsible for administering, configuring, and optimizing the Flexera One platform to manage a hybrid IT estate-including hardware, software, SaaS, and cloud assets. Your work will directly support compliance, cost optimization, risk reduction, and strategic IT decision-making across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Administer and configure the Flexera One platform, including modules like IT Asset Management, SaaS Management, and IT Visibility.
- Manage users, groups, and roles to ensure secure and appropriate access across the platform.
- Define and implement policies for software licensing compliance and effective IT Asset Management (ITAM).
- Monitor system health, performance, and integrations to ensure platform reliability.
- Collaborate with IT, procurement, finance, and other stakeholders to optimize software usage and costs across on-prem, SaaS, and cloud environments.
- Generate and analyze reports and dashboards related to license compliance, software usage, cloud spend, and audit readiness.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Flexera One users.
- Integrate Flexera One with enterprise systems such as BMC Atrium, SCCM, VMware, and other discovery tools.
- Proven experience administering and optimizing Flexera One or other Flexera platforms.
- Strong understanding of IT Asset Management (ITAM) and software license management.
- Experience with installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance of Flexera solutions.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced scripting experience (PowerShell, Python).
- Experience with SQL databases and reporting tools.
- Familiarity with BMC Discovery or similar dependency mapping tools.
