Job Details

Hiring: W2 Candidates Only

Visa: Open to any visa type with valid work authorization in the USA

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy Power BI dashboards and reports.

  • Gather and understand business requirements and translate them into BI solutions.

  • Build data models, relationships, and calculations using DAX.

  • Create and optimize Power Query (M) scripts for data transformation.

  • Connect Power BI to multiple data sources such as SQL Server, Excel, Azure, APIs, and cloud platforms.

  • Optimize report performance and ensure scalability.

  • Implement row-level security (RLS) and data governance best practices.

  • Publish reports to Power BI Service and manage workspaces, datasets, and refresh schedules.

  • Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders.

  • Maintain documentation and provide end-user support.


Required Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI.

  • Proficiency in DAX and Power Query (M Language).

  • Solid understanding of data modeling and star/snowflake schemas.

  • Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases.

  • Experience with Excel, including Power Pivot and Power Query.

  • Understanding of ETL and data warehousing concepts.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Azure services (Azure SQL, Data Factory, Synapse).

  • Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis.

  • Familiarity with SSAS, SSRS, or SSIS.

  • Power BI certification (PL-300) is a plus.

  • Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.


Education & Experience

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.

  • 8 years of experience in Business Intelligence or Power BI development.
