Junior Application Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Johnson City, TX that is seeking a Junior Application Developer.

Summary:
We are looking for a Junior Application Developer with a background in software engineering who is also interested in growing into a solution engineering role. This position will support one or more key enterprise platforms (e.g., ERP, ITSM) and contribute to both operational and development activities.

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide technical support as the application owner, ensuring timely resolution of business issues
* Collaborate with vendors on operational tasks such as patching, major release deployments, and system maintenance
* Develop a deep understanding of vendor-provided solutions
* Assist solution architects in designing platform-based solutions
* Participate in software development projects

REQUIREMENTS:
* 2+ years of software development experience (1 year may be acceptable for candidates with strong potential)
* Understand SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), hands-on experience is preferred
* Basic knowledge of SQL database development, Oracle is a plus
* Understand Scrum agile methodology of project management
* Understand system engineering, such as firewall, DNS, cache, etc.
* DevOps knowledge is a plus
* Demonstrate a good capability for learning-on-the-fly

Experience with:
* C#/.NET is preferred, but may not be limited
* Windows/Linux shell scripting
* JavaScript/HTML

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
