Job Details

Job Title: LoRaWAN SME

Location: Houston, TX (Onsite)

Duration: Long term Contract

Job Description

Network Design: Ability to configure and troubleshoot LoRaWAN networks, including gateway connectivity options, configuration steps, and network server setup especially when overlapped with sensor connectivity optimization/issues.

Device Integration: Skilled in integrating various sensors and devices with the LoRaWAN network server (LNS), including provisioning, configuration, and installation.

RF Design: Understanding of RF design principles, including gateway capacity, signal strength and impact on battery life and RF features.

Particular LoRaWAN expertise: Deep LoRaWAN protocol expertise for the detailed troubleshooting of sensors using uplinks and downlinks; understanding of global country frequency plans, differences between them, and implications of different frequencies.

BU/Support for Sensor Deployments (assume predominantly Remote support): Ability to interact with a variety of customers and sensor types to troubleshoot installations and provide best practices for installation and configuration of LoRaWAN sensors to optimize battery life and signal performance.

Wireless Infrastructure Support:

  • Assist in the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of Cisco wireless infrastructure components, including access points and wireless LAN controllers.
  • Monitor wireless network performance and identify potential issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve wireless network problems, escalating complex issues to senior engineers as needed.
