Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Snowflake Administrator to manage and maintain our Snowflake data warehouse platform. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Snowflake administration, strong understanding of cloud data platforms, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and manage Snowflake environments including users, roles, permissions, and security policies.

  • Monitor and optimize Snowflake performance, including query tuning and resource utilization.

  • Handle data ingestion, pipeline orchestration, and integration with external tools (e.g., DBT, Fivetran, Airflow).

  • Set up and manage Snowflake virtual warehouses, resource monitors, and auto-scaling configurations.

  • Implement and enforce security standards, including role-based access control (RBAC) and data masking.

  • Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and DevOps teams for seamless data operations.

  • Ensure data availability, reliability, and compliance through backup, recovery, and logging strategies.

  • Keep up-to-date with Snowflake best practices, new features, and industry trends.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 8-10+ years of experience in data platform administration, with at least 8 years of hands-on experience in Snowflake.

  • Proficient in Snowflake architecture, data loading/unloading, and performance tuning.

  • Strong knowledge of SQL, scripting (e.g., Python, Bash), and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

  • Experience with integration tools and ETL/ELT processes.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools is a plus.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Snowflake SnowPro Core or Advanced Certification.

  • Experience with data governance and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).

  • Knowledge of tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker is a plus.
