Description
A leading organization in Iowa is seeking an experienced Endpoint Systems Engineer to support automation and efficiency initiatives across a large, distributed IT environment. This is a long-term contract role requiring 100% onsite work in Ankeny, IA. The Endpoint Systems Engineer will be responsible for scripting, automation, and endpoint management to streamline system operations and reduce manual intervention. This role is ideal for someone with at least 3 years of relevant experience in endpoint engineering or systems automation.

The Endpoint Systems Engineer will be responsible for scripting, automation, and endpoint management to streamline system operations and reduce manual intervention. This role is ideal for someone with at least 3 years of relevant experience in endpoint engineering or systems automation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, test, and maintain endpoint automation processes that scale with organizational growth.
- Develop and implement PowerShell and batch scripts for deploying and updating internal and third-party applications.
- Ensure consistent endpoint configurations during initial setup and replacement processes.
- Create and maintain redundancy strategies to minimize downtime.
- Support the design and enhancement of IT support systems.
- Validate and manage store-level software, including third-party vendor applications.
- Build tools and scripts to streamline repetitive tasks and boost endpoint performance.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- At least 3+ years of relevant experience in endpoint engineering, systems automation, or related IT roles.
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, batch).
- Ability to analyze systems and develop scalable, practical solutions.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
- Experience in complex technical environments with evolving business needs.
Preferred Experience:
- Background supporting endpoints in a retail or multi-location setting.
- Familiarity with endpoint management tools and software deployment practices.
- Experience with software qualification and vendor application support.
- Python scripting experience is a plus.
