Job Description
Be on the technology and supply chain forefront for the Manufacturing and Operations team within Supply Chain Operations. As the regional factory Mechanical Product Engineer, you will engage directly and be co-located with our suppliers ensuring a high-quality operation. In partnership with Design Engineering, External Manufacturing Partners, Data Center Operations, and your Operations Engineering peers you will manage the external manufacturers to meet the rapidly growing and changing demands of our customers while maintaining a high-quality operation. Success requires a well-rounded Engineer who can navigate an ambiguous and fast-paced organization, and capable of both strategic and deep tactical engagement as appropriate. You will need to be a self-starter, communicate effectively, and be courageous enough to challenge the status quo.
This role will require on-site interaction with our EM partners in the region. We are focused on bringing new products to market and sustaining high quality throughout the lifecycle in a way that exceeds customer expectations.

Responsibilities
- Designs, develops, and implements cost-effective manufacturing processes and supply chains for Oracle products. Provides technical support to products in the supply chain throughout their production life. Ensures quality and reliability goals are met.
- Ensures that high performing technical manufacturing processes are implemented and sustained for a product. This includes defining and meeting product specific cost, quality, reliability, and product delivery goals. May include designing and gaining approval for investment in equipment and software.
- Drives continuous improvement programs for specific products and drive technical corrective action processes when a specific product does not meet key targets.
- May coordinate other engineering functions to support new product introductions and product sustaining engineering work.
- May carry out failure analysis tasks and program manage other engineering teams to carry out failure analysis.
- Is required to maintain a high level of expertise on specific products and to provide expert technical support and guidance to other functions.
- Lead cross functional technical teams with development engineering, supplier quality engineering, and external manufacturing engineering. Focus
- Creates/modifies mechanical drawings/parts in CAD systems, such as CREO.
- Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma principles (DMAIC or DFSS)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- 5+ years of engineering product development or support experience in a external manufacturing environment
- Sheetmetal, plastic, casting design experience
- Mechanical CAD tools experience - CREO preferred.
- Working knowledge of mechanical concepts, products, safety, and test-methods.
- End to End Supply Chain Operations experience through to installation at the customer site.
- Attack problems analytically, outstanding business judgement, and an ability to present data in a clear and compelling manner.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex and strategic initiatives.
- Experience with liquid cooling and/or cooling distribution units
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
