Job Description:
- We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to lead and conduct business and system analysis in respect to building the golden layer of the data lakehouse and modernized reports in PowerBI.
- This role involves leading efforts to define reporting MVP, documenting legacy reports, conducting gap analysis, and providing recommendations for system improvements.
Requirement/Must Have:
- 10+ years of experience leading and conducting business and system analysis to assess client's business problems/opportunities.
- Proven experience in both agile and waterfall project management methodologies.
- Proven experience in business and system analysis for data marts/data. warehouses/data lakehouse, Business Clientligence, Data Analytics, and Reporting solutions.
- DemonstXXd experience working as a business analyst in large/complex data migration projects.
- Familiarity with BI/reporting tools such as PowerBI.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and ability to execute SQL queries.
- Experience with writing user stories and using tools such as DevOps.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience:
- Experience in conducting business modeling, use case modeling, conceptual and logical data modeling, process and data flow modeling, and business rules definition.
- Experience in conducting business and system analysis for Dynamics 365 CE and/or F&O or other CRM/ERP solutions.
- Experience in creating use cases, test plans, test cases, and test scripts around reporting and data migration.
- Proven experience with defect management processes and defect resolution
- Strong understanding of ETL, data quality, data cleaning, and data issue handling.
Responsibilities:
- Lead efforts to define the reporting MVP, document legacy reports, conduct gap analysis, and provide recommendations for the reporting process.
- Liaise between Business Areas and the data migration/reporting team to clarify business requirements and translate them into system and reporting requirements.
- Conduct business modeling, use case surveys, process and data flow modeling, and define business rules for assigned projects.
- Produce and update documentation to support future solution maintenance
- Assist with identifying and resolving data quality issues, define test cases, perform data reconciliation, and address issues during testing.
- Develop KPIs to track the progress and quality of reporting and data migration efforts.
- Provide post-migration support and help optimize data management processes
- Complete work within assigned deadlines and notify the project manager of any issues.
- Provide knowledge and skill transfer to Cluster/Ministry staff as required.
Should Have:
- Experience with Dynamics 365 CE/F&O or other CRM/ERP solutions.
- Strong understanding of ETL processes, data migration, and data quality. management
- Proven experience in agile and waterfall project management methodologies
- Familiarity with BI tools like PowerBI.
Skills:
- Critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to engage with stakeholders and build strong working relationships.
- Experience with SQL for data analysis.
- Familiarity with industry-standard quality assurance practices such as ISO standards, CMMI, or Agile methodologies.
Qualification And Education:
- 10+ years of experience leading business and system analysis.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
