We are looking to hire a vendor Tech Writer to support AI Education projects, beginning with a 12 month contract. Looking for someone with a solid AI/ML Engineering background with strong technical documentation skills. This is a highly technical role - will be writing about how machine learning and models work through coding expertise
Requirements for role:
We would like to hire 1 vendor Tech Writer III to work on AI education projects. This role requires both Technical Writing experience (ability to create accurate, clear, concise, and well-organized technical content for a range of audience types across various platforms, adapting to different learning styles, levels of understanding, and backgrounds) and AI/ML domain experience (solid AI/ML technical acumen and ability to describe AI systems at both high- and low- levels). Backgrounds in sociotechnical theory/systems, socially-beneficial technology, or human-centered technology is a plus.
Seeking a skilled Technical Writer with a strong focus on AI/ML technologies, developer education, and content strategy. Adept at translating complex machine learning concepts into clear, accessible documentation for diverse audiences. Proven experience creating high-quality content for ML frameworks, APIs, and AI-driven workflows, including generative AI tools and model behavior. Collaborates effectively with engineers and researchers to deliver well-structured, impactful documentation that supports learning, development, and adoption.
To assist in candidate alignment, please include writing samples on a machine learning or Generative AI topic when sharing profiles.
We are open to any global location for this role. Note that we will need 4+ hours of overlap with US Pacific timezone hours at least 3 days per week in order to accommodate meetings with team and subject matter experts.
The compensation range for this position is $125K to $150K
(dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
