Overview:
Ulta is seeking a highly skilled Mobile Accessibility QA Tester to support its web and mobile platforms in achieving and maintaining AA-level ADA compliance. This role is crucial to ensuring that Ultas digital experiences are inclusive and accessible to all users, including those who rely on assistive technologies. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in iOS mobile app testing, screen reader technologies, and accessibility testing tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct accessibility testing on Ulta.com and Ultas iOS mobile applications, ensuring compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA standards.
Utilize assistive technologies such as NVDA or JAWS to validate screen reader compatibility.
Use accessibility tools like AXE DevTools, WAVE, and browser extensions to identify and document issues.
Participate in design reviews, code inspections, and sprint planning to ensure accessibility is embedded throughout the development lifecycle.
Collaborate with developers, product owners, and UX designers to resolve accessibility issues.
Maintain and refine a backlog of ADA-related issues using Jira, and support backlog grooming and prioritization.
Provide detailed documentation of test results, including reproduction steps and screenshots.
Attend PI planning sessions and contribute to accessibility strategy and roadmap discussions.
Required Skills & Experience:
Proficiency in NVDA or JAWS (must be fluent in at least one).
Strong experience testing iOS mobile applications for accessibility.
Hands-on experience with AXE DevTools, WAVE, or similar accessibility testing tools.
Solid understanding of WCAG guidelines, ADA compliance, and mobile accessibility best practices.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Proficiency in Jira for issue tracking and documentation.
Ability to clearly communicate findings and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with native and non-native screen readers.
Familiarity with backlog refinement, sprint planning, and design meetings.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
