Job Details
Job Title: Electromagnetic Simulation Engineer
Location: Cupertino, CA
Job Description:
- Perform 3D electromagnetic (EM), electrostatic, and magnetostatic simulations for various components (motors, sensors, inductors, transformers, busbars, etc.) using tools such as ANSYS Maxwell, Q3D or COMSOL Multiphysics.
- Analyze and extract key parameters such as inductance, capacitance, resistance, eddy current loss, hysteresis loss, and field distribution.
- Good Understanding of capacitive system, dielectric behavior, Extraction of Mutual capacitance Matrix for a system
- Support design optimization for improved electromagnetic performance
- Develop simulation methodologies and parametric models to streamline analysis workflows
- Correlation of simulation results with measurement
- Prepare detailed technical reports, documentation, and presentations for internal and client reviews.
- Good understanding of material properties such as magnetic steels, ferrites, copper, aluminum, and dielectrics.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Qualification:
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or a related field
