Program Manager - Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Program Manager to lead a multi-year marketing technology transformation program. This strategic role will drive the vision, planning, execution, and adoption of an integrated MarTech ecosystem that powers personalized, data-driven marketing across all channels. You will be responsible for orchestrating a complex, enterprise-scale program at the intersection of marketing, data, and technology, ensuring all solutions meet rigorous corporate standards and deliver measurable business impact.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Vision & Leadership
Define and champion the strategic roadmap for the MarTech transformation, aligning technology investments with long-term business and marketing goals.
Serve as the primary leader for the program, collaborating for design and delivery with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
End-to-End Program Execution
Lead the planning and execution of the entire program lifecycle, from initial business case development to platform integration, testing, and deployment.
Develop and manage the master program plan, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.
Ensure all program deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Technology & Platform Integration
Oversee the architecture and integration of a complex MarTech ecosystem, including CDPs, PDS, marketing automation platforms, Real time modeling, analytics tools, and personalization engines.
Ensure the technology stack is scalable, secure, and enables a seamless, data-driven customer experience.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with business partners Marketing, IT, Data Science, and other business units to ensure alignment and drive collaboration.
Act as the central point of communication, providing regular, transparent updates on program status, risks, and successes to executive leadership.
Manage relationships with external vendors, and implementation partners to ensure they meet contractual obligations and performance targets.
Adoption & Change Management
Develop and execute a comprehensive change management and adoption plan to ensure marketing teams are trained and enabled to fully leverage the new technology and capabilities.
Partner with marketing operations to redefine workflows and processes that capitalize on the new integrated ecosystem.
Governance & Standards
Ensure all technology implementations and data practices adhere strictly to all VZ standards for security, privacy, and brand safety.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Experience: A minimum of 10-12 years in program management, with at least 5 years of proven experience leading large-scale, multi-year technology transformation programs at an enterprise level.
Domain Expertise: Deep experience operating at the intersection of marketing, data, and technology. A strong understanding of modern marketing principles and the technologies that enable them.
MarTech Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the MarTech landscape, including Tealium/Adobe/Salesforce CDPs, marketing automation, personalization tools, analytics platforms, and CRM systems.
Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and influence large, cross-functional teams in a complex, matrixed organization.
Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to translate business strategy into a tangible technology roadmap and an executable program plan.
Financial Acumen: Experience managing multi-million dollar program budgets and building compelling business cases for technology investments.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Marketing, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
MBA or other advanced degree.
Program Management Professional (PgMP) , PMP , or equivalent certification.
Experience with Agile or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies for large-scale program delivery.
Direct experience in the telecommunications, media, or technology industries.
Experience leading a transformation program involving a major Customer Data Platform (CDP) implementation.
