Position: Sr. Business Analyst.
Duration: 03 Months
Location: South Chesterfield, VA.
Responsibilities:
Requirements Documentation: Create detailed documentation of business requirements, processes, and solutions, including business process models and reports.
Process Improvement: Evaluate current business processes and identify areas for improvement, proposing solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Testing and Validation: Participate in testing new systems and processes to ensure they meet business requirements and function as intended.
Data Analysis: Gather, analyze, and interpret data to identify trends and insights that inform business decisions.
Skills and Qualifications:
Technical Skills: Experience with business process modeling and general office productivity tools is required.
Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder expectations.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey complex information to stakeholders.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret data and generate actionable insights, is preferred.
Required Experience:
10+ years of experience working in technology domains. (Higher education preferred.)
5+ years of experience eliciting and documenting business requirements and user stories in Waterfall and Agile project environments.
5+ years of experience creating test plans and test cases.
5+ years of demonstrated ability to work independently with some guidance on work product.
Education: A bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred, but not required. A relevant Business Analyst certification (e.g., CBAP) is a plus.
Work Environment
Setting: Primarily onsite with options for remote work.
Reporting Structure: Reports to the Director of IT Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC).
Required Skills:
10 Years Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret data and generate actionable insights
10 Years Experience eliciting and documenting business requirements and/or user stories in Waterfall and Agile project environments
7 Years Experience developing business process models
5 Years Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey complex information to stakeholders
5 Years Proven ability to work independently with some guidance on assigned work product
5 Years Extensive experience creating test plans and test cases
5 Years Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder expectations

Compensation

Compensation for roles at Beacon Systems Inc depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, BeaconGov provides reasonable range of compensation for this role.
