Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Guidewire Test Lead to lead end-to-end testing efforts for Guidewire implementations and enhancements across PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ClaimCenter. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership capabilities, deep P&C insurance knowledge, and hands-on expertise in Guidewire testing within large, integrated enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage end-to-end testing for Guidewire implementations, upgrades, and integrations.
- Define and execute test strategy, test plans, and test governance for Guidewire programs.
- Coordinate functional, system, integration, regression, and UAT testing activities.
- Work closely with business stakeholders, developers, product owners, and vendors to ensure quality delivery.
- Review business requirements, functional specs, and design documents to ensure test coverage.
- Manage defect lifecycle, root cause analysis, and quality metrics reporting.
- Mentor and guide QA team members; oversee onshore/offshore QA resources.
- Ensure testing alignment across Guidewire integrations (e.g., PAS, billing, claims, data hubs, third-party vendors).
- Support release planning and go-live readiness activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in QA / Testing, with at least 6+ years in Guidewire testing.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Guidewire PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter
- Guidewire Digital (preferred)
- Deep understanding of Property & Casualty Insurance (Personal Lines / Commercial Lines).
- Expertise in end-to-end testing of complex, integrated systems.
- Experience with API testing and data validation.
- Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., ALM, Jira, Zephyr, qTest).
- Strong leadership, stakeholder communication, and coordination skills.
- Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
- Test automation exposure (Selenium, Playwright, or similar).
- Experience with Guidewire Cloud (GWCP).
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps-driven testing.
- Guidewire Certification(s) is a plus.
- Experience working with North American insurance carriers.
