Job Details

Please note that this is a 12-month contract position

This position involves helping to get this line up and running, staffing it with contract help, and leading the team to meet production goals. This role is onsite at our Shakopee, MN facility. You ll be responsible for leading a production line of around 10 20 assemblers and technicians.

Shift hours: Flexible - 7:30 - 4:00 ; 8:30 - 5:00

Required Qualifications for Consideration:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related STEM discipline, or a two-year technical degree with a long history of success in this type of role
• Experience supervising a team of employees
• Two or more years of process engineering or manufacturing experience
• Basic troubleshooting skills and ability to support process optimization.
• Experience with precision measurement equipment and methods.
• Ability to analyze problems and contribute to developing practical solutions
• Ability to work well in a team environment and resolve conflicts in the organization
• Experience using Excel
• Flexibility in taking on responsibilities outside the formal job description as required for the success of the project

Main Responsibilities
Help hire and train new employees
Prioritize and manage workload with allocation of resources
Address concerns with line employees and maintain a safe, productive working environment
Assist in manufacturing process development in collaboration with Design & site Manufacturing engineers.
Assist in troubleshooting of new equipment, identifying and resolving issues under supervision.
Order materials, maintain inventory with revision level and record retention
Assist in establishing and documenting NPI production processes and revising them as conditions change.
Coordinate shipping of production orders
Make decisions to up-hold client's quality expectations. Manage quarantine of materials and manage sorting/retesting when required.
