Title: Automation Technician W2 Contract Odessa/Midland & Surrounding Areas

Location: Odessa/Midland, Andrews, Carlsbad, or Hobbs, TX
Employment Type: Long-term W2 Contract Immediate Start

We are currently looking for Automation Technicians to join oil & gas automation projects in the Odessa/Midland, Andrews, Carlsbad, or Hobbs regions. This is a long-term W2 contract opportunity with our direct client, and we re looking for candidates ready to hit the ground running.

What you ll be doing:

  • Working with PLC/RTU systems like Allen Bradley, IDEC, ABB, Schneider, Emerson (ROC/Floboss)

  • Programming HMIs including Red Lion, Beijer, IDEC, Allen Bradley, and Maple Systems

  • Troubleshooting low-voltage electrical components, field devices, and communication equipment

  • Reading and interpreting P&IDs and electrical schematics

  • Communicating effectively both written and verbal and utilizing technical tools like MS Office

  • Taking initiative and tackling new challenges with high energy and a sense of urgency

  • Collaborating with teams, building trust, and ensuring integrity in your work

  • Traveling to project sites as required

What we re looking for:

  • Experience in PLC/RTU and HMI programming

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and technical aptitude

  • Ability to interpret diagrams and technical documents

  • Good communication and computer skills

  • A team player with a proactive approach to work and problem-solving
