Job Title: Hyperion Consultant / Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Hyperion Consultant with strong expertise in Essbase, HFM, FDMEE, DRM, and Planning to join our onsite team in San Diego/Carlsbad, CA. The ideal candidate will have hands-on implementation experience and deep knowledge across budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and analytics applications. This role requires strong functional and technical skills, as well as the ability to collaborate with business stakeholders to deliver scalable enterprise performance management (EPM) solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and support of Oracle Hyperion applications including Essbase, HFM, FDMEE, DRM, and Planning.
- Partner with finance and business teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective Hyperion solutions for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Develop and maintain financial models, cubes, hierarchies, and integrations to support business processes.
- Perform system configuration, customization, and administration of Hyperion applications.
- Create and optimize reports, dashboards, and analytics for management and operational use.
- Support end-to-end processes including data integration, validation, and reconciliation across financial systems.
- Conduct system testing, UAT, and training sessions for business users.
- Ensure compliance with corporate governance, security standards, and industry best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, ensuring system stability and performance.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5 8+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Hyperion applications: Essbase, HFM, FDMEE, DRM, and Planning.
- Proven track record in Hyperion implementation projects (design through go-live).
- Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and financial analytics.
- Proficiency in financial data modeling, consolidations, allocations, and hierarchies.
- Experience with data integration tools, scripting, and automation within Hyperion environments.
- Strong SQL skills and ability to work with relational databases.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with finance, IT, and business stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Oracle EPM Cloud solutions.
- Exposure to financial close and consolidation processes.
- Relevant certifications in Oracle Hyperion or EPM tools.
- Experience working in industries with complex financial and reporting structures.
