A leading organization in Washington D.C. is currently seeking an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) for an exciting opportunity in the Federal Government sector. This role requires expertise in Cloud and SaaS technologies and is perfect for a seasoned professional looking to make an impact in a dynamic environment.


About the Opportunity:



  • Hybrid or Remote: To be discussed

  • Shift: Standard business hours

  • Schedule: Full-time

  • Hours: 40 hours per week

  • Setting: Federal Government projects


Responsibilities:



  • Designing and implementing robust security architectures for cloud-based applications

  • Conducting risk assessments and vulnerability analyses

  • Developing security policies and procedures conforming to federal regulations

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate security into system architectures

  • Conducting regular audits and monitoring activities to ensure compliance


Qualifications:



  • 8 years of experience in information security

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

  • CISSP or GSLC certification

  • Proficiency with ISSE, Cloud, SaaS

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently

  • Adaptability and eagerness to learn new technologies


Desired Skills:



  • 10+ years of experience in the security domain

  • Master's degree in IT or related field

  • Additional cloud certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure)

  • Experience with advanced threat detection tools

  • Strong leadership and project management skills
