Job Details

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Aurora PostgreSQL Database Developer to design, develop, and optimize database solutions for high-performance applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in PostgreSQL and AWS database technologies, with hands-on experience in building scalable and secure database systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong experience in PostgreSQL and Aurora PostgreSQL.
  • Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS RDS and related database services.
  • Knowledge of database security, backup strategies, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Familiarity with PostgreSQL deployment on EC2 (preferred).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement robust database models, schemas, and relationships.
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and indexes for performance and scalability.
  • Work extensively with Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL and AWS RDS for deployment and management.
  • Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and security compliance within AWS environments.
  • Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies.
  • Optimize queries and indexing for large-scale data operations.
  • Manage PostgreSQL deployments on AWS EC2 (good to have).
  • Automate database provisioning and maintenance tasks using AWS tools and scripts.
  • Work closely with application developers and architects to integrate database solutions.
  • Maintain clear documentation for database architecture, processes, and best practices.

Good to Have:

  • Experience with database migration and data replication strategies.
  • Knowledge of AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or similar IaC tools.
  • Exposure to DevOps practices for database automation.
