Independent Verification and Validation Analyst (PMP)

Job Title: Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) Analyst / Senior Technical Strategist
Location: Michigan (Hybrid 2 days onsite)
Engagement Type: Contract

Overview:
We re hiring a seasoned IV&V Analyst to support high-impact IT modernization and infrastructure projects for a state-level enterprise. In this role, you ll work independently to assess project health, identify risks, validate deliverables, and ensure alignment with established technical and compliance standards.

Candidates local to Michigan ONLY. Position will be hybrid, in office 2 days (Wed/Thu) a week upon start

Key Responsibilities:

Perform IV&V on ITIF and other strategic projects.

Review and assess project documentation and deliverables.

Identify and escalate risks and issues, suggesting mitigation strategies.

Monitor project metrics: scope, schedule, budget, and quality.

Produce regular reports: Health Assessments, Risk Logs, Executive Briefings, and Summary Reports.

Collaborate with project teams while maintaining objectivity.

Qualifications:

5+ years in IT project management.

5+ years in IV&V or QA roles.

Experience in public sector or regulated environments.

Strong knowledge of PMBOK, risk management, and quality assurance.

Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills.

Education & Certifications:

Bachelors in IT, Business, or related field (required).

PMP certification (preferred).

Additional certifications (e.g., CSM, CQA) are a plus
