Description:
Client Vacation Club sells Vacation Points representing a deeded interest/percent ownership in a particular unit of a client Vacation Club Resort (timeshare) building which allows the right to occupy the underlying property for a specified period of time. In order to support Financial Reporting deliverables related to revenue and cost recognition for sales of certain timeshare interest products, client Financial Reporting is looking to bring on a temporary employee/contractor with Microsoft ACCESS programming experience and a minimum skillset equivalent to an employee in a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst role.
Basic Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should be able to maintain the Financial Reporting Team's ACCESS data base, including solution programming and corrections to existing programming, and ensuring the accuracy of data residing in the database as well as the Revenue and Cost of Sales reports generated from the database.
Minimum 2-3 years Technology/Financial Systems and/or Accounting experience
Experience with programming utilizing PC-based database software applications, specifically Microsoft ACCESS
Working knowledge of general accounting, internal controls and the close process
Strong analytical and writing skills and the ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written)
Ability to prepare and present information to support decision making
Ability to adapt quickly, work independently, and take ownership
Ability to plan and prioritize work and handle multiple priorities
Strong organizational skills
Detail oriented
Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and provide solutions
Ability to perform well in a fast paced environment
Good interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Technology, Accounting or Finance
Preferred Qualifications:
Timeshare experience a plus
Preferred Education:
Masters in Accountancy or MBA
