Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Snowflake Data Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in Snowflake, SQL, Python, and data modeling, along with hands-on experience building robust ETL pipelines. This is a hybrid role based in Houston, TX, and we are looking for candidates who are local and available to start immediately.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows in Snowflake.
Develop complex SQL queries for data transformation, extraction, and reporting.
Implement and manage data models to support business intelligence and analytics needs.
Optimize Snowflake performance through clustering, partitioning, and query tuning.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, data scientists, and analysts to define and deliver data solutions.
Integrate Snowflake with other systems using Python and associated libraries.
Ensure data governance, quality, and security standards are met.
Required Skills & Qualifications
4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer with hands-on expertise in Snowflake.
Strong understanding of Data Warehousing principles and data modeling techniques.
Proficient in SQL for advanced querying and performance tuning.
Solid Python programming skills for data manipulation and workflow automation.
Proven ability to build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Must be local to Houston, TX and available for a hybrid work setup.
Immediate availability is required.
Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
Familiarity with BI/Visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
Exposure to CI/CD and DevOps practices in data engineering environments.
