RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Project Manager - Civil Engineering (Public Works).
Summary:
The Project Manager oversees municipal infrastructure and public works projects, including roadway improvements and stormwater management. This role involves leading design teams, managing multiple projects, and ensuring delivery aligns with schedule, budget, and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead planning, design, and execution of infrastructure projects including roadways, sidewalks, drainage, and utility coordination
* Manage all project phases-from concept through construction-ensuring compliance with codes, budgets, and timelines
* Evaluate existing systems for upgrades and improvements
* Prepare cost estimates, technical specs, and project schedules
* Supervise contractors and teams during implementation, monitor progress, and maintain safety and regulatory compliance
* Conduct site inspections to ensure quality and design adherence
* Collaborate with municipal officials, engineers, and the public to ensure project alignment with community needs
* Prepare and present status reports, engineering studies, and technical documentation
* Ensure compliance with current standards and secure permits as needed
* Maintain quality control and resolve project issues effectively
* Serve as the technical expert, responsible for sealing construction drawings
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution
* Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas
* 8+ years of relevant civil engineering and project management experience
* Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MS Office, and design tools like StormCAD, HEC-RAS, PondPack, and Hydroflow
* Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
* Ability to work collaboratively with teams, clients, and public agencies
Working Conditions:
* Desk-based work with frequent use of a computer
* Fieldwork including site visits
* Occasional lifting, bending, or positioning around equipment and utilities
* Occasional site travel
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
