The Reporting, Insights, and Data Quality team (RIDQ) contributes to the all-up mission by providing customers with high-quality data, reporting, and insights.

As a Data Analyst, Global Talent Acquisition Reporting, you'll provide oversight into critical reporting programs. In this role you will be responsible for translating strategy into programmatic solutions, ensuring alignment with leadership priorities, and driving program maturity through continuous improvement. Additionally, you will partner with key stakeholders, business intelligence, and engineering, to deliver reporting solutions using data from our applicant tracking systems and a wide variety of technologies including Power BI and PowerApps.

Responsibilities:

Collaborates with stakeholders to thoroughly understand business objectives and needs, converting them into comprehensive program requirements and technical specifications for reporting solutions. May coach others to help them broaden business knowledge.

Expertise in Data
  • Leverages appropriate types and sources of data and/or metrics, understands how business needs translate into data requirements and evaluates sufficiency of data sources, determines needs for integrating additional data, and identifies, anticipates, and addresses gaps and data quality issues with data providers, in partnership with other teams. Leverages relevant data, frameworks, and/or analyses from other teams, and ensures that data access and quality issues are addressed. Begins collaborating with data analysts and data engineers to build data pipelines or integrations used to address business needs and advises other analysts on ways to present and discuss data to influence business stakeholders' decision making. Applies fundamental understanding of data governance to work to ensure the solutions they and/or their project teams produce have the right level of security applied (encryption, role restrictions) and are aligned with company policy.
Data Analysis
  • Applies expertise to determine optimal analytical tools and techniques to address business questions. Guides and partners with others to execute analyses, resolve analytical challenges, interpret results across relevant contexts, and provide actionable insights and recommendations to business stakeholders. Critically evaluates assumptions about data or analysis methods to ensure they are appropriate for answering business questions in context and provides feedback on features and functions of analytical tools (e.g., algorithms, statistical models) developed by Engineering or Data Science teams.
Presentation of Results
  • Develops appropriate presentations that tell stories of analyses, including dashboards, reports, data visualizations, self-service platforms, slides, and talking points that highlight relevant insights. Synthesizes details across analyses and reporting platforms into a cohesive story that serves to inform business decisions, and identifies opportunities to improve efficiency of reporting and presentations. Guides others to ensure presented results are accessible, and provide information accurately, clearly, and with sufficient relevance to influence decision making for intended audience(s).
Evaluation
  • Determines factors and/or data types/frameworks to include in the evaluation of the impact of business, product, and/or operational decisions that provide relevant assessments of impact. Ensures that evaluations can account for anticipated risks and applies learnings from previous evaluations. Synthesizes results across evaluation instances, identifies relevant connections to other work, and makes recommendations for next steps linked to strategic business goals.
Orchestration and Collaboration
  • Leverages working relationships within and across teams to ensure quality data sources, methodologies, as well as the appropriate application of analytical tools and processes, and drives their adoption, to facilitate relevant insight generation, reporting, and interpretation. Proactively engages stakeholders to identify and act on opportunities to leverage resources and solutions that were instrumental to success in similar contexts, and consults across teams on decisions related to analyses, insights reporting, and/or their interpretation.
Improvement, Efficiency, and Innovation
  • Identifies and promotes methods that create efficiency in core work related to analytics and reporting that are reusable, readily discoverable by decision-makers, self-service, and directed to meaningful interpretation of data that drive business decisions and impact. Recommends and socializes optimal methods for sharing, standardizing, and scaling insights. Evaluates the viability and relevance of automated methods and efficiency gains that leverage AI for use in reporting, and/or analysis to recommend when they should become standard practices.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Mathematics, Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, Marketing, Business, Economics or related field AND 3+ years experience in data analysis and reporting, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Finance, Mathematics, Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, Marketing, Business, Economics or related field AND 4+ years experience in data analysis and reporting, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years experience in Power BI (services and desktop), experience with Power BI Semantic Models, Data Analysis Expressions (DAX), including measures, calculated columns, and tables.
  • 3+ years experience in reporting design, development, and maintenance, understanding of data visualization practices.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years experience in Power BI (services and desktop), proficiency with Power BI Semantic Models
  • Proficiency with Power Platform, Power Apps.
Business Analytics IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
