Title: Engineering Technician
Location: Painted Post, NY
Duration: 12 Months
Hours: M-F, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM (some flexibility may be considered)

Local candidates are preferred. Candidates out of the area who are willing to relocate at their own expense will be considered, but local candidates will be given top consideration.
Description
  • The manager is requiring 2-3 previous technical experience performing related job duties with facility infrastructure (HVAC, plumbing, piping, etc).
  • The candidate must be able to read 2D drawings and schematics.
  • This is an Engineering Technical Support role.
  • The candidate will maintain and troubleshoot facilities infrastructure (mostly HVAC, water systems, vacuum pumps, etc).
  • Will work closely with an Engineer; this is not a design role.

Additional Requirements:
  • Primarily will support 2 engineers to assist with the support the SP campus.
  • A key function of this job is customer interfacing, knowledge and understanding of customers' processes and needs, consulting with multiple customers, maintaining good customer relationships, and providing the customer with the most effective support.
  • The position also requires significant interface with Project Managers, Facility Engineering and Trades
  • Daily/weekly walk down water systems, record information
  • Weekly visit, settings check, etc.
  • Basic troubleshooting, HVAC, water systems, process piping, other.
  • Execute drawing updates, file uploads, document updates, air balance sheet updates.
  • Schematic verifications
  • Conduct checks and basic troubleshooting when issues arise and report findings to system engineers.
  • Label systems that are missing labels
  • Be the supplier point of contact for on-site visits and maintenance activities
  • Assist with the management of small trades jobs, monitor trades after the scope is developed, be the communications point and report back to engineering
  • Follow up with trades on work, place work orders, attend trades planning meetings, and preventative maintenance coordination
  • Maintain spare parts inventory

Education requirements: Associate in Science 2-year degree
