ROLE SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Network Architect Operation role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and scalability. This position requires collaboration with various teams to support business objectives and provide technical guidance

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Network Design and Implementation:

Develop and implement network architectures that align with business objectives

Oversee the deployment and configuration of network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points

Network Management

Monitor and maintain network performance,

Troubleshoot L2/L3 Level issues,

Handling P3/P4 tickets and guide to offshore team.

Working on High priority tickets P1/P2 and perform RCA and permanent fix

Liaison with service provider for link related services

Liaison and coordinate with different vendors / OEMs for hardware / software upgrade / replacement

Train and KT for other associates as necessary

Incident Handling:

Proficiently handle any incidents that occur on the NOC or client network.

Respond to network-related issues reported by users, offering immediate solutions or escalating the issue if necessary.

Documentation:

Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented network configurations and associated troubleshooting steps

Network Implementation and Configuration:

Install, configure, and maintain network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless access points.

Implement and manage network protocols, such as TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, and VLANs.

Configure and manage network security devices and technologies, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.

Perform network upgrades and migrations with minimal disruption to services.

Implement wireless networks.

Network Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

Monitor network performance and identify and resolve network issues.

Perform routine network maintenance and updates.

Troubleshoot complex network problems and provide timely resolutions.

Maintain accurate network inventory and documentation.

Respond to network incidents and provide on-call support as needed.

Security and Compliance:

Implement and maintain network security best practices.

Ensure network compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scans.

Implement and manage network access control policies.

Collaboration and Communication:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including system administrators, security engineers, and application developers.

Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates and resolve issues.

Provide technical support and training to end-users.

Work with vendors to resolve hardware and software issues.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS

Technical Skills:

Strong understanding of networking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, etc.).

Experience with network hardware and software from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, or Arista.

Experience with network virtualization technologies.

Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Perl, etc.) and automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, etc.).

Experience with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Zabbix).

Strong understanding of network security best practices.

Very strong working experience on Extreme networks switches, Cisco Switches & Routers, Juniper Routers

OEM :

LAN: Extreme and /OR Cisco , Extreme and / Or Avaya ,

WAN : Cisco and / OR Juniper

WALN : Cisco Meraki and / Or Aruba

Soft Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

10 - 15 Years of Domain Experience.

Cisco / Extreme Network equivalent certification would be preferred.
