Job Details

IMA Financial Group is looking for a Project Manager to join our growing organization. You’ll drive the implementation life cycle from initiation to completion and associated Organizational Change Management activities to support each project.  You will partner closely with internal business owners and IT to deliver innovative solutions efficiently, while emphasizing clear communication, and following the IT Program Management Methodology.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:

  • Supports and demonstrates IMA’s core values

  • Partner closely with a senior member of the team to learn best practices and utilize as a trusted mentor for direction and support.
  • Work with technical teams and other stakeholders to build and deliver solutions.
  • Identify and manage critical dependencies across teams tracking commitments and ensuring timely execution and delivery.
  • Define and track key project milestones and recommend adjustments to complete projects on time and ensure high quality deliverables.
  • Utilize the IMA IT Project Management Methodology including templates and processes to support the needs of the project team.
  • Proactively assess how each project is being run and suggest changes to the project team or the PMO overall to improve delivery.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS include but are not limited to:

  • 3+ years of experience working in roles that require organization, planning and managing through influence.
  • Experience building effective relationships, leading through influence, driving consensus, and establishing yourself as a trusted advisor.
  • Proven track record of taking ownership and successfully delivering results on projects while following established protocols and processes.
  • Detailed driven with a focus on ensuring the project team is looking forward while executing current tasks.
  • Experience quickly building credibility with project teams.
  • Familiarity with the PMBOK.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication across all levels of the organization.
  • A strong track record of problem solving and a “roll up your sleeves” mentality.
  • Experience with MS Office products preferred/required (specifically PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel)
