Title: Microsoft Access DBA Location: Hartford, CT (Primarily onsite at Goodwin Technical Highschool) Duration: 14 Months **Candidate must be within 50 miles**
Job Description:
Database Administrators with Application experience are responsible for data migration, data cleanup, data reporting, as well as managing and maintaining the hardwired lines and wireless connections in a system and the hardware that hooks up to that system. Applicants are expected to have at least ten years of relevant work experience, ideally in a school or educational agency, managing school nutrition data applications, and automated processes.
Job duties specific to the applicant may include:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Access
  • Fixed Asset System Integrations
  • Testing/Piloting operations
  • School rollout
  • Grading user interface reports
  • API connections
  • Creating QR codes
  • Data migration and data cleanup
  • Analyzing and figuring out the system needs of an organization
  • Research and development
  • Keeping systems operating efficiently by performing any necessary upgrades and repairs
  • Planning a strategy to maintain system security on the computers and the network as a
  • whole
  • Optimizing and evaluating the system regularly
  • Assigning and updating security permissions for the system network
  • Training or directing users on the correct use of software and hardware within the system
  • Performing problem-solving tasks when alerted by a user or monitoring system
  • Tracking, installing, and configuring software updates and performing database backups
  • to restore and protect user information
  • Installing hardware and software for the network
  • Any other duties as assigned
