Job Details
We are seeking a QA SDET Architect to join the Voya Digital Product Engineering Team, where you will play a key role in championing quality across web and mobile applications. Embedded within agile product teams, you will work on consumer-facing solutions built using technologies such as Node.js, React, and Azure. As a quality ambassador, you will drive a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Technical Skills Required
- Automation Tools: Cypress, Playwright, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Selenium, Postman, REST Assured, Sauce Labs
- Performance Testing: JMeter or similar
- CI/CD & DevOps: GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins or similar
- Version Control: Git (GitHub, Bitbucket)
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and designers to define test strategies, acceptance criteria, and risk areas.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web, mobile, and API layers using modern frameworks.
- Execute manual and exploratory tests to uncover edge cases, usability issues, and functional gaps.
- Identify, document, and track defects; work closely with developers to resolve and verify fixes.
- Support performance, load, and basic security testing to ensure non-functional requirements are met.
- Test across multiple browsers, devices, and operating systems for consistent user experiences.
- Conduct parallel testing across multiple browsers.
- Build automation frameworks for:
- Web and API testing using Cypress
- Mobile device/emulator testing using Cypress
- Perform Accessibility Testing to meet WCAG 2.0 Guidelines.
- Monitor and report on test coverage, defect trends, and release readiness.
- Identify opportunities to improve testing processes, tools, and team practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven experience testing consumer-facing web applications (React preferred) and RESTful APIs (Node.js backend is a plus).
- Strong background in writing and executing automated tests using JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based testing environments (Azure or AWS).
