Job Details
Title: Automation Engineer (SDET)
Location: Princeton, New Jersey (Hybrid)
Duration: Long Term
Due to project requirements, this opportunity is restricted to U.S. citizens
Job Requirements:
- At least 8 years of hands-on automation testing using Selenium and equivalent technologies.
- Strong programming experience in Java/JavaScript/VB Script
- Design and develop scalable, reliable, and data-driven automation test scripts for Web applications, APIs, and backend systems.
- Primary focus on API testing with an experience in various automation libraries and tools.
- Experience in cloud technologies and CI/CD using Jenkins. AWS cloud is preferred.
- Experience in cross-web browser testing The QA Automation Engineer.
- Participate in requirement discussions and document outcomes in Jira / Confluence
Responsibilities:
- Planning the testing strategies, and methods for projects and customizing the testing as agreed by the SCRUM Team
- Create re-usable Testing User Stories and estimates
- Implementing, executing, and capturing testing results, tracking and entering of test defects, test strategies/test scripts/test cases/end of test/ ORR following the documented IT SDLC Agile process.
- Responsible to provide metrics/daily status on testing progress and ensuring all automated reports used are accurate
- Create, manage, and execute automation scripts
- Responsible to define and manage the test data that is required
- Responsible for all aspects of the test environment coordination and configuration and defect root cause analysis related to the Test Environment.
- Collaborate and work closely with DevOps Scrum Team members
- Java, JavaScript, TestNG, Web Services, REST API Testing, SQL, and Test Harness.
- Experience with Test-Driven, or Behavior-Driven design methodologies
- Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as interpersonal skills
- Excellent time-management and task/effort estimation skills.
Tools:
- Cloud environment
- Accessibility (nice to have)
- Deep SQL knowledge.
- Testing framework development experience based on TestNG.
- Mobile/Appium testing is PLUS.
- Rest Assured or equivalent API testing libraries.
