I. Job Summary

The Director of Employee Experience, will lead the strategic design and implementation of initiatives that foster an engaging and inclusive work environment, particularly for our large frontline population. This role collaborates closely with the senior leaders and other HR functions to enhance the employee experience. The Director will guide the development of a robust employee listening strategy and ensure effective communication channels that reach all employee demographics. This position plays a critical role in supporting and advancing our diversity and inclusion efforts, significantly impacting our organization's culture and performance.

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Develop and execute comprehensive strategies that enhance employee satisfaction and engagement across all levels of the organization, with a particular focus on frontline employees.

  • Design and implement a listening strategy that effectively gathers feedback from all employee groups, using both traditional and innovative channels to capture a wide range of voices and perspectives. Provides oversight and, at times, conducts employee focus group sessions, employee surveys, and interviews to obtain employee feedback.

  • Identifies employee concerns and monitors overall employee satisfaction. Partners with leadership and employees to develop and implement action plans.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues that may impact employee satisfaction and engagement.

  • Collaborate with various HR departments (to review and improve policies, programs, and processes to align with employee experience goals.

  • Work with the diversity and inclusion council to execute and support initiatives that promote a diverse and inclusive workplace. This includes shaping policies and programs that foster an inclusive environment.

  • Engage with senior leadership and key stakeholders to align the employee experience and engagement strategies with organizational objectives.

  • Identify and develop communication strategies to effectively reach and engage all employee populations, ensuring clear, inclusive, and timely dissemination of information.

  • Utilize analytics and data insights to monitor the effectiveness of employee experience initiatives and use data-driven decisions to inform future strategies.

  • Lead change management efforts related to the implementation of new employee experience initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and high levels of adoption across the organization.



III. Qualifications

A. Education and Experience


  • Education: Bachelor's Degree (accredited), in Human Resources, Business Administration, Data Science or similar area of study, or in lieu of degree; or High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and 4 years of relevant experience required.

  • Education: 10+ years progressive experience in Human Resources, with a focus on employee engagement, organizational development, or a related area (in addition to education requirement) required



B. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities


  • Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced work environment, pivot quickly based on changing business needs, and manage time appropriately.

  • Demonstrated experience managing and measuring programs with national impact.

  • Proven experience in all Google Suite applications.

  • Domain knowledge in solutions integral to HR, L&OD, and Benefits delivery models.

  • Skillful in communicating with and influencing a wide range of internal and external stakeholders including leadership, employees, potential/existing vendors, and business partners.

  • Proven ability to develop, inspire, motivate and retain top talent; a team-builder who enables/encourages the highest level of individual and group performance.

  • A thoughtful leader who is both collaborative and collegial in his/her approach.

  • Ethical and low ego; engenders confidence and trust, while also garnering respect and credibility.

  • Trustworthy and have a high level of integrity and confidentiality

  • Ability to work on own initiative on project-based tasks

  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and proven problem-solving skills.

  • Flexible approach, ability to adapt to evolving environment.

  • Strong Computer literacy - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint with some experience in HR Systems.
