Join a high-performing engineering team at the forefront of Embedded Finance / Commercial Open Banking innovation. As a QA / Test Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of Open Banking APIs through comprehensive manual testing, while contributing to automation efforts for critical workflows. This role is ideal for mid-career test engineers who want to remain hands-on with testing while collaborating closely with developers, product owners, and cross-functional teams. You will help deliver secure, resilient, and high-performing solutions that power digital payments, including ACH and RTP. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
  • Develop and execute detailed manual testing plans and test cases for API, and integration testing.
  • Perform functional, regression, and exploratory testing to validate new features and ensure overall product quality.
  • Collaborate with developers and product owners to clarify requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Identify, document, and track defects; work with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
  • Contribute to automation efforts by creating and maintaining automated test scripts for high-priority workflows (approximately 25% of role).
  • Assist in integrating automated tests with pipelines and support continuous testing practices.
  • Analyze test results, prepare test reports, and communicate quality metrics to stakeholders.
  • Participate in test strategy discussions and contribute to improving QA processes and best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications

1. Bachelor's Degree and four to seven years of experience or equivalent education and software engineering training or experience
2. In-depth knowledge in information systems and ability to identify, apply, and implement IT best practices
3. Understanding of key business processes and competitive strategies related to the IT function
4. Ability to plan and manage projects and solve complex problems by applying best practices
5. Ability to provide direction and mentor less experienced teammates. Ability to interpret and convey complex, difficult, or sensitive information

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree and six to ten years of experience or equivalent education and software testing training or experience.
  • experience in manual testing of web and API-based applications.
  • Ability to design and execute comprehensive test plans and cases.
  • Familiarity with defect tracking tools and QA documentation practices.
  • Basic understanding of test automation concepts and willingness to contribute to automation efforts.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate complex information clearly
  • Master's degree and ten+ years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Experience testing payment platforms or financial systems.
  • Exposure to automation tools (e.g., Selenium, or similar).
  • Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., Postman).
  • Exposure to cloud environments (e.g., AWS).
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git).
