Job Title: Senior SQL Server Application DBA / Developer (MSBI Specialist)
Duration: Long Term

1. SCOPE OF WORK
1.1. OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE:
The Illinois Housing Development Authority (IHDA) seeks to procure Managed Database Services to include design, development, maintenance and implementation of best practices and principles for our databases, data warehouses and how we interface with them. Also, the management, implementation, support and reporting of metrics to ensure we have highly available, redundant and optimal databases. 1

Monitoring, Maintenance and Support Services (to be charged a fixed monthly cost) conducted daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly and as needed.
For any work that falls outside the scope please share hourly rates by role/task. State of Illinois Contract v.25.2 2 3 State of Illinois Contract v.25.2 1.2.1.1.
Support SLAs 24 x 7 for Severity 1 Incidents, Urgent Request and Critical Alerts for Production and 7 a.m. 6 p.m. CST for Non-Production.
Vendor will need to respond to alerts as listed in 1.2.1.2. (Daily; Weekly; Monthly; Quarterly; Yearly) 1.2.1.2.

In the event that IHDA, in its sole discretion, is not satisfied with the performance of staff assigned to perform the Services, IHDA will provide Vendor written notice of said situation with directions that the assigned staff is to be withdrawn and replaced with staff who meet IHDA requirements in the timeframe specified by IHDA. 1.3.

SPECIFICATIONS:
The Vendor resources must have a minimum of five (5) years of professional experience as a SQL Server Application DBA with MS SQL Server 2014 and up.
1.4.2 A minimum of five (5) years experience with 24x7 support, managing support queues and meeting SLAs.
1.4.3 (5) years experience of reporting services; Microsoft Reporting Services and Business Objects.
1.4.4 The Vendor resources must have a minimum of five (5) years experience of database design principles in data warehousing environment, database logical and physical design. 1.4.5 The Vendor resources must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience of hands on experience with managing and installing patches, upgrades and database setup, installations and migrations.
1.4.6 The Vendor resources must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience with SQL database performing tuning, creation of right indexing strategy to meet data growth needs and performance monitoring and query optimization using SQL Profiler.
1.4.7 The Vendor resources must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in providing code reviews, tuning feedback and monitoring the team. to the development team and mentor, them on best practices and guidelines.
1.4.8 The Vendor resources must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience of database administration, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and systems analysis procedures.
1.4.9 The Vendor resources must have a minimum of five (5) years experience of effectively communicating and documenting technical architecture and solutions to internal peer groups as well as other groups. State of Illinois Contract v.25.2 6
