Subject Matter Expertise- Network Engineer- Active TS/SCI security clearance

This role will be pivotal in shaping advanced tactical and enterprise networking for airborne and ground platforms, supporting a key multi-year technology rollout.
Key Responsibilities: Architectural Leadership

• Design and document a scalable network reference architecture integrating modern hardware/software elements and node management tools.
• Develop secure, high-performance routing (BGP/OSPF/IS-IS), QoS, IPSec overlays, and cross-domain data strategies compliant with NSA and DISA guidelines.
• Contribute to system modelling using SysML/CAMEO aligned with digital engineering practices.

Integration & Testing

• Configure networking equipment such as routers, switches, SATCOM modems, and SDRs for system integration and interface control.
• Develop and apply test automation (IXIA, Spirent, Ansible) to ensure performance, security, and reliability prior to operational testing.

Cybersecurity & DevSecOps

• Implement robust network security controls aligned with zero-trust principles.
• Lead the integration of software-defined networking into secure DevSecOps workflows, including continuous RMF compliance.

Field Operations & Support

• Collaborate with flight teams to adapt lab-configured networks for airborne use.
• Support real-time monitoring and operational readiness through custom dashboards and support documentation.

Leadership & Mentorship

• Advise government leadership on network strategy, performance, and readiness.
• Mentor engineering staff and transfer expertise to client stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

• Active TS/SCI security clearance
• Bachelor's in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
• 20+ years in secure, mission-critical DoD or IC networking
• Expertise in Layer 2/3 networking, SATCOM, mesh/RF networking, and bandwidth-limited environments
• Experience with NSA crypto, cross-domain solutions, and ML security
• Proficiency with automation/scripting (Python, Ansible, Terraform)

Preferred Skills:

• Advanced certifications (CCNP/CCIE, JNCIE)
• Background in tactical or airborne networking programs (CJADC2, ABMS, Link-16/22)
• Familiarity with containerized networking and secure DevSecOps tools
• Experience with RMF process and Agile/Scrum frameworks
