    • Contract Duration: 12-months
    • Worksite Location: Eagan, MN | Hybrid
    • Compensation: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour | W2 only
    What you'll do as the Database & Application Engineer:
    • Design, develop, and deploy a SQL database hosted in Azure using industry best practices including data normalization, schema implementation, and thorough documentation
    • Build a user interface application using Streamlit or Flask, integrated with the SQL database and hosted in Azure
    • Ensure data security, performance optimization, and scalability of both the database and application
    • Document database architecture, application workflows, and deployment processes
    • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to database performance or application functionality
    • Support the transition and knowledge transfer to internal teams for long-term maintenance

    What you'll bring to the Database & Application Engineer role:
    • Strong SQL skills including query writing, stored procedures, and performance tuning
    • Experience with Azure services including Azure SQL Database, Azure App Services, and Azure DevOps pipelines
    • Proficiency in Python for backend development
    • Experience building and deploying web apps using Streamlit or Flask
    • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
    • Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
    • Adaptability and a willingness to learn new technologies
    • Degree or certifications in Computer or Data Science, with 0 2 years of related experience
    Bonus If You Have
    • Experience with CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps
    • Familiarity with Docker or other containerization tools
    • Knowledge of REST APIs and external system integration
    • Experience working in Agile or hybrid project environments
