Job Summary:
As an Epic Analytics Governance Specialist, you are tasked with guiding the enhancement of our holistic analytics governance strategy, especially in the realm of metadata management. Your responsibility is to ensure the integrity, thorough documentation, and accessibility of data resources within the enterprise. Working collaboratively with data custodians, product leaders, and analytics groups, you will uphold supreme standards of data clarity, practicality, and reliability.

This role demands exceptional interpersonal abilities, a comprehensive grasp of data governance methodologies, and the capacity to communicate the essence of metric definitions and metadata criteria to the Analytics Governance Council. A background in state-of-the-art data cataloging and analytical software is crucial.

Principal Functions:
Spearhead the curation and upkeep of metadata records, encompassing explanations of tables and fields on all corporate data systems.
Prepare and articulate the particulars of metric definitions and metadata guidelines to the Analytics Governance Council as well as other concerned parties.
Engage in consort with data proprietors and custodians to authenticate uniformity and precision in business nomenclature and data provenance.
Bolster the deployment and continual enhancement of the Advanced Analytics Governance Framework.
Collaborate with analytics divisions to confirm that regulated metrics meet business goals and are uniformly integrated into visualizations and summaries.
Advance and refine metadata repositories employing solutions like Databricks Unity Catalog and Metric Insights.
Advocate the use of artificial intelligence instruments (e.g., copilots) that enhance metadata functionality and facilitate data exploration and utilization.
Serve as a conduit between the technical and business sectors to ensure metadata is accessible and useful.
Participate in the ongoing elevation of governance methods, benchmarks, and documentation practices.

Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in the field of Information Systems, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a similar discipline.
Minimum of three years in roles focused on data governance, metadata oversight, or data cataloging.
Proficient understanding of data structuring, data origin, and the establishment of business lexicons.
Outstanding verbal and written communication capabilities, able to demystify intricate technical jargon for the business audience.
Demonstrated experience in interfacing with a diverse range of business and technical stakeholders.
Acquaintance with tools such as Databricks Unity Catalog, Metric Insights, or equivalent metadata/cataloging software.
Prior experience with AI-powered prompting utilities (e.g., copilots) is advantageous.
Expertise in healthcare data management and analytical processes is essential.
Proven background working with Epic and other Electronic Health Record systems is mandatory.
