ROLE DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP IBP Inventory Optimization Lead to join our team. As the IBP Inventory Optimization Lead, you will be responsible for leading the implementation and optimization of SAP IBP Inventory Optimization solutions for our clients. You will work closely with cross functional teams to design, configure, and deploy inventory optimization strategies that maximize service levels while minimizing inventory costs. Your expertise in SAP IBP and inventory management will be critical in driving efficiency and value for our clients supply chain operations.

Responsibilities

  • Solution Design Lead the design and architecture of SAP IBP Inventory Optimization solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives, supply chain strategies, and industry best practices.
  • Requirement Gathering Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand inventory management requirements, demand variability, supply chain constraints, and service level targets.
  • System Configuration Configure SAP IBP Inventory Optimization module settings, including safety stock parameters, lead time modeling, demand sensing, and inventory segmentation.
  • Data Integration Design and implement data integration interfaces between SAP IBP and other systems, including SAP ERP, SAP S4HANA, and external demand planning systems.
  • Inventory Modeling Develop and maintain inventory optimization models within SAP IBP, considering factors such as demand variability, lead times, service levels, and supply chain constraints.
  • Scenario Analysis Perform scenario analysis and whatif simulations to evaluate the impact of different inventory policies and strategies on service levels, inventory costs, and overall supply chain performance.
  • Performance Monitoring Develop and implement performance monitoring and reporting mechanisms to track key inventory metrics, identify areas for improvement, and measure the effectiveness of inventory optimization strategies.
  • Change Management Develop and implement change management strategies to ensure smooth adoption of SAP IBP Inventory Optimization solutions by endusers and stakeholders.
  • Training Provide training and support to endusers and key stakeholders on SAP IBP Inventory Optimization functionality, processes, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience 15 years in leading SAP planning solutions. 7 plus years in IBP Inventory Optimization projects as a lead consultant.
  • Expertise in SAP IBP Indepth knowledge and handson experience with SAP IBP modules, particularly Inventory Optimization.
  • Inventory Management Skills Strong understanding of inventory management principles, including safety stock optimization, demand variability, lead time modeling, and service level optimization.
  • System Integration Skills Experience designing and implementing data integration interfaces between SAP IBP and other systems using technologies such as CPIDS, SDI, or custom interfaces.
  • Scenario Analysis Skills Experience conducting scenario analysis and whatif simulations within SAP IBP to evaluate inventory policies and strategies.
  • Communication Skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
  • Project Management Skills Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
  • Problem Solving Skills Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, evaluate alternatives, and implement effective solutions.
