In this role, you will act as a vital link between software development teams, local and global marketing teams, and U.S. customers to ensure our products deliver maximum value. You will translate customer and market needs into actionable feature requests, define and prioritize the product backlog, and guide the development team toward impactful software solutions. Here's how you'll make an impact:
- Being the key link between U.S customers, local and global marketing teams, and our Software teams in U.S., Germany and Sweden.
- Maintain and prioritize the product backlog for our Error proofing and Embedded software solutions with input from stakeholders, together with a team of other Agile Product Owners.
- Translate customer needs into clear product backlog items.
- Align development efforts with strategic goals to ensure transparency across stakeholders and software development teams.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements for our Error proofing and Embedded software solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Understanding our customers' processes and needs so we deliver the right solutions at the right time by approving completed feature work from the Software development team.
- Be part of the Voice of the Customer process to help maintain a strong customer relationship that drives continuous improvement in our software offerings.
- Contribute to defining and communicating a clear vision and roadmap for our Error proofing and Embedded software solutions.
- Support the program management team in prioritizing the issue backlog for our Error proofing and Embedded software solutions.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies to maintain and prioritize the Software development teams sprint backlog.
- Stay informed on industry trends, standards, protocols, and application environments to support continuous improvement efforts.
- Travel domestically and internationally as needed to support customers and project activities.
To succeed, you will need
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of relevant experience in product ownership, business analysis, project management, or software development with focus on customer relations, like a Field Application Engineer role.
- Strong understanding in modern agile frameworks such as SCRUM and/or SAFe.
- Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize backlog items and issues for decision-making.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage critical stakeholder demands.
- Very good understanding of Atlas Copco Error proofing solutions and/or Embedded platform solutions.
- Experience with manufacturing environments, automation systems, or similar at Atlas Copco's customers.
- Understanding modern software architecture and development practices is a plus.
- Familiarity with Atlas Copco's other software and hardware portfolio is a plus.
