Job Title: Senior Data Engineer (Oracle SQL/PL/SQL) Hybrid

Location: Sacramento, CA (Hybrid: Onsite as needed)
Duration: July 2025 June 2026 (with possible extension)

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer with expertise in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development to support enterprise-level analytics and high-volume business data requests. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in data modeling, business intelligence development, and managing ad hoc data extraction within a large relational database environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fulfill 70 80 monthly ad hoc data requests using complex Oracle SQL and PL/SQL queries

  • Extract, transform, validate, and deliver datasets to various business units

  • Design and build data marts to support analytics and reporting functions

  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define data requirements

  • Perform knowledge transfer and maintain documentation using existing systems and tools

  • Ensure data security and compliance with internal governance processes

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience developing analytical models and tools using Oracle SQL/PLSQL

  • Strong ability to interpret business data requirements and write complex queries

  • Experience working with large-scale relational databases (2,000+ tables, 100+ dimensions)

  • Solid understanding of SDLC, change management, and business intelligence best practices

  • Experience in one or more of the following domains: Pension, Health Insurance, Finance, Risk, or Customer Service

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including documentation and technical explanations for non-technical audiences

Nice to Have:

  • Experience working in a government or regulated environment

  • Familiarity with ETL processes and data pipeline automation

  • Exposure to ServiceNow or similar request management systems
