Job Title: Java Developer (DevOps experience)

Location: Dallas, TX (Onsite/Hybrid as per client requirement)

Duration: Long-Term Contract

Job Overview:

  • We are looking for a highly skilled Java Developer with strong DevOps and Cloud expertise to join our client's engineering team.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for building scalable applications, automating deployment pipelines, and ensuring smooth operations across cloud environments.
  • This role requires a blend of backend development skills, DevOps mindset, and hands-on experience with modern cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications with high performance and scalability.
  • Build CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar.
  • Automate deployment, monitoring, and operational tasks using DevOps best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Architects, QA, Cloud Engineers) to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Implement containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Work with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure) to build secure and scalable cloud-native applications.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and drive root-cause analysis for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain documentation, technical standards, and operational best practices.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 10+ years of hands-on Java development experience.
  • Strong expertise with Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs.
  • Solid understanding of DevOps tools: Jenkins, Maven/Gradle, Git, SonarQube, Terraform/Ansible (preferred).
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
  • Strong experience with at least one cloud platform (AWS preferred; Google Cloud Platform accepted).
  • Good knowledge of monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk).
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience with message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
  • Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Experience with distributed systems and cloud-native design patterns.
