Windows 11 Migration SME (Intune) needed for a 3+ Month Contract in Foxboro, MA working hybrid (2-3 days a week onsite)!

Our client is migrating from a heavy Windows 10 environment to Windows 11 and transitioning from SCCM to Microsoft Intune and Autopilot. The Windows 11 Migration SME needs to be able to do the following tasks.

  • Successfully upgrading 950 devices from Windows 10 Pro to Windows 11 with minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Implement a secure, scalable deployment platform using Microsoft Intune and Autopilot, thereby strengthening client's cybersecurity posture.
  • Perform comprehensive training and knowledge transfer sessions.
  • Establish a continuous feedback loop to refine deployment processes, scripting, and end-user communications before moving to full production deployment.
  • Inventory applications and assess compatibility with Windows 11.
  • Categorize applications and identify critical dependencies.
  • Compile a list of device models and manufacturers.
  • Evaluate hardware readiness for Windows 11 migration.
  • Review existing 814 Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and determine what the mutually agreed actual final number of GPOs will be.
  • Map GPOs to equivalent Intune policies for migration.
  • Determine which OUs are necessary for the Win11 project.
  • Evaluate existing policies and compare them with Intune policies.
  • Assess deployment tools and network readiness for Autopilot/Intune.
  • Gather requirements and feedback from IT and business stakeholders.
  • Consolidate findings into a discovery report with recommendations.
  • Build and configure the Microsoft Intune and Autopilot environment to enable zero-touch provisioning and modern device management.
  • Define deployment policies, including compliance and security baselines for Windows 11.
  • Provide validation of image and application readiness including Hardware compatibility, hardening and securing Windows 11 image.
  • Import applications from SCCM to Intune and conduct application compatibility testing
  • Define and document process for upgrading Windows 10 to Windows 11 leveraging Intune
  • Review and integrate Windows Hello and Okta for Single-Sign-On
  • Perform migration in waves to ensure upgrade will be successful.
  • Provide post migration support.
  • This position is hybrid with 2-3 days a week onsite.
