Our client is seeking an experienced and driven Commercial Technology Analyst to join a leading energy company. This role is crucial for ensuring that all enterprise data systems operate efficiently and comply with all regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing business decision-making processes through advanced data reporting and analytics.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the Electronic Bulletin Board (EBB) operates within all regulatory frameworks by reviewing project proposals for compliance with tariffs and standards set by the North American Energy Standards Board (NAESB) and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).
- Assist in the design and prototype of models for data mining and predictive analytics to support strategic business decisions.
- Update regulatory documentation as required and report any compliance issues through the appropriate channels to maintain system integrity.
- Collaborate with internal business partners to detail project requirements for expansion and growth, ensuring seamless integration into existing systems.
- Support the preparation and maintenance of the revenue budget and forecasts, providing detailed monthly reports to business partners.
- Analyze data trends to predict behavior and recommend process improvements to enhance system efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Engineering, IT, or a related field is required.
- A minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within the energy sector.
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis and financial forecasting.
- Strong understanding of NAESB and FERC regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proven ability to lead projects and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
- Ability to work effectively in both independent and team environments.
- Preferred: Master’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced data mining tools is highly desirable.
