MINIMUM TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS
The Business Analyst will assist the State in the development of documents required to manage, acquire resources, fund business needs, and deliver quality documentation. The candidate will analyze business processes, identify areas for improvement, and provide actionable insights to drive organizational success. This role requires strong analytical skills, effective communication, and a deep understanding of business operations to align solutions with strategic goals. Support the State in the coordination and completion of user acceptance testing. Support the State produce technical documentation (system, end-user, training, and instruction), funding documents, white papers, correspondence, how-to-guides, etc.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis: Gather, analyze, and interpret data to identify trends and provide recommendations.
- Process Improvement: Evaluate business processes to identify inefficiencies and propose solutions.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with executives, managers, and other stakeholders to understand business needs and priorities
- Documentation: Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and documentation of findings and recommendations.
- Project Support: Assist in the planning and execution of business initiatives by providing data-driven insights.
- Monitoring Impact: Track the implementation of recommended changes and assess their effectiveness.
- Five (5) years of FTE experience researching, developing, editing and reviewing technical documents for software, hardware, technical procedures, and computer related services, and performing document management and version control processes.
- Five (5) years of FTE experience with Microsoft Office products using advanced principal features of Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Excel.
- Two (2) years of FTE experience performing IT technical writing including online help, design specifications, manuals, test plans, and how-to-guides. Experience can include being in a position as a specialist or research assistant in a technical field.
Desirable Qualifications
- Two (2) years of FTE experience using Atlassian Jira in an agile development project.
- Two (2) years of FTE experience in a State/Dept. of Health care Service project
