Job Details

SAP MDG Technical Developer to support a DoD project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in core ABAP development combined with expertise in modern SAP technologies. This role requires a specific focus on SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) and a deep understanding of Business Rule Framework Plus (BRF+), which is critical for defining and managing business rules within the MDG framework. The developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing custom solutions, enhancements, and integrations to support our master data governance processes.

Rate is negotiable for the best candidate, prefer C2C. This is a 6-to-12-month project, 100% remote with travel as needed. Prefer Public Trust/Cleared but has to be and we can sponsor clearance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain custom solutions and enhancements using core ABAP, including BADI implementations.
  • Work extensively with Business Rule Framework Plus (BRF+) to create, modify, and manage complex decision tables, rulesets, and functions for data validation and workflow routing in SAP MDG.
  • Develop and extend OData services and CDS Views to expose SAP data to modern applications.
  • Build and enhance SAP Fiori applications to provide an intuitive and user-friendly experience for master data management.
  • Collaborate with functional consultants and business users to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Integrate and extend SAP solutions using the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
  • Perform code reviews, unit testing, and support system integration and user acceptance testing.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on best practices for SAP MDG development.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven, hands-on experience with SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) as a technical developer.
  • Strong, demonstrated expertise in BRF+ (Business Rule Framework Plus), including the ability to build and maintain complex business rules.
  • Proficiency in developing and consuming OData services.
  • Experience with CDS Views and the SAP S/4HANA programming model.
  • Competency in SAP Fiori application development, including UI5 and JavaScript.
