About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer with strong experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and hands-on expertise in Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform). This role involves designing, building, and deploying scalable cloud services, ensuring reliability, security, and automation across environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Terraform modules for provisioning and managing Google Cloud Platform resources.
- Develop and deploy cloud-native services on Google Cloud Platform, ensuring high availability and scalability.
- Automate infrastructure workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and environment provisioning.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate infrastructure with application deployments.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance and cost efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with security best practices and organizational standards.
- Understanding of Sentinel and Prisma tools for policies, procedures and remediation work efforts
- Document architecture, processes, and operational guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience with Terraform for IaC.
- Strong knowledge of Google Cloud Platform services (Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, IAM, Big Query, Google Cloud Storage, Composer, Cloud Functions etc).
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar).
- Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automation.
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Understanding of cloud security principles, IAM roles and least privilege principles and best practices.
- Experience with Google Cloud environments setup.
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (Stackdriver, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana).
- Exposure to DevOps practices and Agile methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
