Who You Are:

We are seeking a strategic, execution-oriented Account Manager with a strong foundation in IT consulting and business development within the telecommunications sector. This individual will be responsible for both sales and delivery across one or more target accounts specifically, tier-one telecommunications clients.

This role demands leadership, client engagement at the executive level, solution selling, and delivery oversight to grow and maintain a long-term, trusted advisor relationship with key stakeholders.

At the Consultant-level, you will be expected to independently contribute ideas, recommendations, and solutions toward solving business challenges, construct key components of deliverables/presentations, and contribute to the development of Intellectual Capital (IC) and Marketing Collateral. You will serve as a team leader for individual work streams and acquire a comprehensive understanding of the firm s expertise, product set, and capabilities. Role and Responsibilities:

  • Client Leadership: Act as a trusted advisor to senior executives (including C-level) at a tier-one telecom client, providing thought leadership and strategic guidance.
  • Sales & Growth: Drive revenue growth by identifying, developing, and capturing new business opportunities within the client account.
  • Solution Delivery Oversight: Oversee the delivery of complex IT consulting solutions, from requirements through to implementation.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop winning proposals and pricing strategies; lead pipeline reviews and sales strategy sessions.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and manage account team members, support performance reviews, and help guide career development.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Produce intellectual capital including proposals, client deliverables, case studies, and contribute to internal frameworks.
  • Contract & Risk Management: Lead the creation and negotiation of MSAs, SOWs, and CRs; proactively manage client expectations and project risks.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure client satisfaction, project success, and business continuity.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of IT consulting or systems integration experience with direct client-facing responsibilities.
  • Proven track record in account management, delivery leadership, and business development within IT consulting.
  • Strong understanding of telecom technologies and operations across CRM, billing, ERP, and network systems.
  • Experience working with telecom segments: wireless, wireline, cable, residential, enterprise, and international.
  • Strong executive presence and experience working with C-level stakeholders.
  • Expertise in contract management, pricing strategies, and deal structuring.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall SDLC methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills written, verbal, and presentation.
  • Bachelor s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • In-depth understanding of telecom industry convergence trends, regulatory challenges, and competitive dynamics.
  • Familiarity with telecom operations such as backhaul, provisioning, and customer lifecycle management.
  • Ability to position Excelacom s value proposition within the context of digital transformation and operational efficiency.

Compensation and Benefits:

For individuals assigned to work in Colorado, Excelacom is required to include a reasonable estimated compensation range for this role. However, final salaries will vary based on several factors, such as candidate s level, qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role. An individual may be hired at the Analyst, Consultant, or Manager level for this role with each level requiring an increasing set of responsibilities. For regular full-time employees, the estimated salary range is from $120,000 to $150,000/yr.
