Audio Visual Systems Engineer/Programmmer

Summary Statement:

The A/V Systems Engineer/Programmer is an integral member of the integration, design and sales teams, responsible for programming and integrating audio visual systems in a variety of applications. The A/V Systems Engineer/Programmer reports directly to the Director of Operations.

Essential Functions:

The essential functions of the A/V Systems Engineer/Programmer are core common functions as listed and are not restricted to the following functions:

• Advanced system programming including audio, video, lighting, and control systems. (Q-Sys, RTI, etc.)
• Ability to connect and setup various network connections for AV equipment and AV network systems.
• Ability to do simple coding as needed for AV control. (JSON, Hex, etc.)
• Ability to setup PTZ camera systems and production video switchers for installations.
• Ability to train customers on the use of A/V systems in commercial institutions and houses of worship.
• Ability to understand diagrams, general building blueprints and layouts of audio/visual equipment.
• Ability to remain current on all new A/V Technologies.
• Ability to understand and implement general Internet Technology principles.
• Ability to interact with staff and customers on a professional level.
• Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve integration problems and solve or escalate as necessary.
• Ability to quickly absorb and retain knowledge of integration techniques.

Job Requirements:

The incumbent will possess:

• Bachelor s Degree awarded from an accredited undergraduate program in Arts and Science, or equivalent experience.
• Five years experience with Audio Visual Systems.
• Dante, and Q-SYS Certifications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Proficient in CAD, EASE, Sketch Up and Visio.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• The ability to legally perform work in the United States.
