Role: Desktop Support Engineer
Location: Tampa, FL Day One Onsite
Duration: Contract
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Desktop Support Engineer to provide technical assistance and support for end-users within our organization. You will be responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting hardware, software, and network systems in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first- and second-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, remote tools, or in person.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues on desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
- Support Microsoft Windows environments including configuration and maintenance.
- Administer and troubleshoot user accounts and permissions in Active Directory.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot software including Office 365, antivirus tools, and custom applications.
- Set up and maintain user workstations, including OS imaging and hardware deployment.
- Ensure timely resolution of tickets and maintain accurate documentation of issues and fixes.
- Assist in managing IT assets and maintaining an up-to-date inventory.
- Support audio/visual setups and conferencing tools.
- Escalate unresolved issues to higher-tier support when needed.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Desktop Support Engineer, IT Technician, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Active Directory, Office 365, and general networking concepts.
- Hands-on experience with hardware repair and peripheral configuration.
- Familiarity with remote desktop applications and help desk software (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently or as part of a team.
