Job Title: Technical Support Specialist
Location: Frankfort, KY
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Overview
We are seeking a skilled Technical Support Specialist to provide hands-on support for hardware, systems software, and application software for one of our clients based out of Frankfort, KY. This role involves equipment and software installation, upgrades, data conversions, system utilities, and change control. The specialist will also coordinate issue resolution and escalate problems to appropriate support teams when necessary.

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Technical Support Specialist to provide hands-on support for hardware, systems software, and application software for one of our clients based out of Frankfort, KY. This role involves equipment and software installation, upgrades, data conversions, system utilities, and change control. The specialist will also coordinate issue resolution and escalate problems to appropriate support teams when necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues prior to deployment
- Troubleshoot defective equipment and application-related problems
- Support installation and maintenance of IT infrastructure
- Maintain system documentation and data dictionaries
- Collaborate with other technical teams to ensure seamless support delivery
Required Knowledge & Experience
- Proficiency in identifying and resolving hardware and software issues
- Familiarity with network environments and server rooms
- Experience supporting desktop systems and peripherals
- Understanding of operating systems and basic networking principles

Education & Experience

- Substitutions:
- Associate degree with 2+ years of relevant experience
- High school diploma with 4+ years of relevant experience
Certifications & Frameworks
- Technical certifications (e.g., A+, MCP, MTA) are a plus
- Familiarity with IT service management frameworks such as ITIL is beneficial
Physical & Travel Requirements
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and climb ladders as needed
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
